About Me
Welcome—I'm Candace R. Owens, a poet, mother, and visionary founder of Poetry Pioneer LLC, based in the heart of Kentucky, USA.
For me, poetry has never just been words on a page—it has been a lifeline. A way to process life’s beauty, its heartbreak, and everything in between. From a young age, writing became the place where my voice found power, and my pain found purpose.
My path hasn’t been easy. I’ve battled stage 5 endometriosis, endured eight abdominal surgeries, and in 2016, I faced a life-threatening medical complication that forever changed my perspective. I survived what I wasn’t supposed to. That experience became my spiritual awakening—igniting a deeper connection to faith, creativity, and the unshakable belief that we’re all here for a reason.
In 2024, I published my first book, The New World Light: Poetic Affirmations to Create Heaven on Earth, which went on to win an International Impact Book Award in poetry. One of its featured poems, Please Be Kind, touched hearts across the globe—garnering over 11,000 likes on Instagram, reaching over 1.9 million people, and eventually becoming an AI-generated song and the theme for my cable show, Candace Moments.
But my mission extends beyond the page. Through Poetry Pioneer, I’ve launched a global creative movement that blends storytelling, technology, and soul. I host an international poetry podcast and produce TV shows in collaboration with Arts So Wonderful and CCTV Vermont, giving voice to creators from all walks of life.
