About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Candace Renee Owens, a published poet and devoted mother and the CEO of Poetry Pioneer LLC, based in Kentucky, USA. Poetry has been my lifelong escape—a way to process life’s joys and challenges. From my earliest years, writing became my voice, guiding me through both triumphs and trials.
My journey has been shaped by personal resilience. Facing severe endometriosis led to multiple surgeries, each one deepening my appreciation for life and inspiring my advocacy for authenticity and vulnerability. These experiences have fueled my mission to spread hope and kindness worldwide.
In 2024, my debut book, The New World Light – Poetic Affirmations to Create Heaven on Earth, received the prestigious International Impact Book Award in the Poetry category. My poem, Please Be Kind, resonated with thousands, gaining nearly 11,000 likes on Instagram, and has become the theme song for my cable show, Candace Moments. I also host an international poetry podcast, connecting creative minds across the globe, produced in partnership with Arts So Wonderful and CCTV Vermont.
